The Mission Church, located on the Observatory Hill of Helsinki, has had a central role in the global mission history of The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church. During the first decades of it´s existence hundreds of missionaries have been blessed for their journey at the altar. The church is widely known for the stained glass windows and the unique position of the pulpit inside the altar.
Nowadays the Mission Church is a popular venue for concerts and wedding ceremonies. The Church celebrates its own mass every Sunday at 2 P.M. (except Christmas, Easter and the entire summer).Tens of congregational groups visit the church when they have chosen the Mission Home as an object for their travels.
