The Rainbow School for handicapped and autistic children in Lushoto, Tanzania, encourages parents to bring their handicapped children for a consultation and to receive support. Rainbow School is one of the projects for this autumn's fund raising campaign Equal Sharing.

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland has made a new funding contract of 25 841 495 euros with the FELM for its development co-operation in 2007–2010.

The ”Christmas present for mission” -fundraising drive of the FELM ended in February. Its total return of 585 218 euros will be used in support of the Lutheran Church of Angola. Some 10% of the returns will be directed to work for peace and reconciliation in different countries.
The FELM challenges clergy to ponder about the meaning of mission work and encourage them to see its possibilities in their every-day action. To stimulate this, ten debate theses about mission work have been published. The aim is to generate versatile and vivid debate.
"While public financing for NGO-led development projects increases, the FELM widens its action correspondingly", stated the executive director of the FELM Seppo Rissanen in January.
