Global Mission

There are about 220 FELM employees working in mission capacities in more than twenty different countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

The motto of FELM is ‘Love, Faith, Hope – from people to people’. It reflects FELM´s holistic approach to mission work, including the preaching of the Gospel and service as a response to the Gospel.

FELM works primarily with Lutheran churches, collaborating with them in a variety of ways to further the work of the Gospel.

FELM has also a partnership agreement with the Lutheran World Federation. In addition, it participates as an observer within the ACT Development cooperative alliance and is a member of the Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance. FELM has observer status within the Finnish Ecumenical Council.
