Sponsoring the Elderly at Ebenezer

Imagine a retirement home, where dozens of cultures interact, where the occupants speak many different languages, where it is common to celebrate the publishing of a resident’s novel, and where residents gather together for a morning prayer.

The Christian retirement home Ebenezer in Haifa, Israe,l was established in 1976 for Messianic Jews who had survived the Holocaust. Today, it is a home for many Arabic Christians and increasingly for old people from the former Soviet Union.

Ebenezer gets no governmental funding and therefore is dependent on external support. Now Finnish sponsors can also support this retirement home for around 30 people. Sponsors help the retirement home and its occupants with a group donation of €25/month.

Sponsors receive a newsletter from Ebenezer twice a year.
