Specialized Training Program for International Cooperation

The course (35 credits) is open for all applicants. It is possible to complete the course while working full-time on the condition that participation in Helsinki once a month is possible from August 2011 until May 2012. The course focuses on the spirituality of the Church, cultural awareness and human rights based development. This training will prepare participants for international mission and development work abroad as well as inter-cultural work in Finland. Applications accepted from April 1st to 20th. 

The training is organized by FELM and the Church Training College together with the Institute for Advanced Training of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Finland.

Basic information regarding the course

The specialized training program includes intensive training periods (from two to five days), work at home with literature to read and assignments, and a thesis.

Place

The training will be held at FELM House, Tähtitorninkatu 18, Helsinki. The venues for the starting and closing sessions of the course will be announced later.

Costs

Fees: Autumn term 720€, spring term 720€. Accommodation and meals are not included. For those to be employed by FELM the training fees and travel costs will be paid by FELM.

FELM and the Church Training Centre together with the Institute for Advanced Training of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland.


The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission has provided missionary training since 1862. This new type of training will now be organized for the third time.
