"Haiti needs our help through the Common Responsibility Campaign 2010"

FELM Director Seppo Rissanen is urging Finns to aid Haiti's earthquake victims through the Common Responsibility Campaign 2010. The previously elected target of the campaign is, indeed, Haiti. "Now it is more necessary than ever", says Dr. Rev. Rissanen in his blog in Finnish on Jan 14. "Typically, FELM operates in disaster situations when we have a previous connection with the disaster region. We have no partners in Haiti, which is why I am urging you to support the aid efforts in Haiti through the Common Responsibility Campaign 2010."The Common Responsibility Campaign (known in Finnish as 'Yhteisvastuukeräys') is Finland's largest annual fundraising campaign, organised by the Finnish Lutheran Church and its Church Resources Agency (Kirkkopalvelut ry). The campaign result will be delivered through the Department for World Service (DWS), the relief and development arm of the Lutheran World Federation. |
